Arrival Delhi

Arrival at Delhi, upon arrival meet to our staff, drive to hotel for rest of the night.

Delhi-Leh (5320m)

Early morning take flight to Leh. upon arrival meet and greet by our local staff at Leh airport, transfer to hotel, rest of the time free for acclimatization, evening walk to market. Overnight at hotel.

Leh Sightseeing

After breakfast full day local sightseeing visit Shey, Thiksey, and Hemis monasteries, Shey was the old capital and the home of the kings of Ladakh before the new capital became established in Leh. The palace sits in a strategic position on a spur jutting out into the Indus valley. The main temple contains a large Buddha statue sculpted by Nepalese craftsmen. Thiksey, this large gompa is an impressive sight, situated on top of a craggy hill while the rest of the complex sprawls down beneath it. Gelukpa monks founded it in the 15th century. Hemis, the oldest and richest monastery in Indus valley in moth of June-July the biggest mask dance and Thanka displaying. Overnight at hotel.

Leh

Full day sightseeing of Spitok gompa, Shanti stupa, Sankar gompa, & Hall of Fame, Spitok was the first Gelukpa (yellow hat) monastery to be established in Ladakh. Richen Zangpo predicted that a monastery would be founded here that would set and example to the other monasteries in the land. As it is situated on top of a small hill there are good views over the Indus valley. Shanti Stupa visible from most of the town this new Stupa was officially opened in 1985 the peace pagoda is part of the legacy of the Japanese Fuji guru. Overnight at hotel.

Leh-Rafting in Indus River-Alchi-Uley Topko (3240m)

After breakfast proceed, Phey from where we will do the Rafting in the Indus valley, 30 km/ 3 hrs white water rafting till the confluence Zanskar and Indus River, after lunch continue drive to Alchi monastery, this impressive monastery is the only one in Ladakh on flat ground. The Great translator, Ringchen Zangpo, founded the Gompa in the 11th century. This gompa has a lot of the Kashmiri influence very visible in their carvings and drawings. Then drive continues to Uley Topko, this tiny village lies along the Indus River. Over night at Uley Topko camp.

Uley Topko-Lamayuru-Rizong-Uley Topko

After breakfast drive to the famous monastery Lamayuru en route you are greeted by a collection of run down tea stall, 3,450 m Lamayuru is the important stop for the tourist circuit and also the starting and finishing point for a number of trek visit the oldest monastery of this area then, drive back to Uley Topko en route visit Rizong Gompa, Overnight at Uley Topko.

Uley Topko-Likir-Basgo Local house (3025m)

After breakfast we drive to the Likir monastery, the building of this monastery 16th century gompa was ordered by the king Tashi Namgyal the Gompa sits on a small hill above the attractive village and like Lamayuru belong to the Kagyupa order of monk. Likir monastery is about an hours drive from Leh. Then proceed to Basgo, this village is popularly known for the Basgo palace it is situated north west from Leh, the climate of this area begin soft, soil is much fertile and the vegetation of the area is comparatively higher than those of the other areas of Ladakh. Afternoon visit the palace of Basgo. The local house is decorated by the horn of yak, and the other local things, at night we share the local dance and local food. Overnight at local house.

Basgo-Phyang-Leh

After breakfast we explore the magnificent village and the see the mood of life of this tinny village after noon we commence our journey from Basgo to Leh en route visit the Phyang monastery, Overnight at hotel.

Leh-Tsomoriri via Mahe Bridge

Morning proceed to Tsomoriri lake, via Mahe Bridge, Tsomoriri or Lake Moriri, in the Changthang (literal meaning, northern plains) area, is a High Altitude Lake with an altitude of 4,595 m (15,080 ft) in Ladakh, is the largest of the High Altitude Lakes in the Trans-Himalayan biogeographic region, entirely within India. It is hemmed between Ladakh in the North and Tibet in the east and Zanskar in the west, the Changthang plateau is the geographical setting with snow peaks that provides the source of water for the Lake. Accessibility to the lake is limited to summer season only. Upon arrival check in fix tent or local house, rest of the time visit the Lake.

Tsomoriri-Tsokar

Morning drive to Tsokar “Salt Lake” on arrival check in fix tent Tsokar means salty lake in local language and salt was extracted from this lake in earlier times, till the end of 1959, for consumption by the local people. En route watch the wild ass “kyang” and black naked Crain, rest of the time explore the surrounding area.

Tsokar-Tanglang-la-Leh

Morning drive to Leh over the second high motorable pass 5360m, on arrival at Leh check in hotel for overnight.

Leh

Full day leisure for individual activities. Overnight at hotel.

Leh-Delhi

Morning transfer to Leh airport, take flight to Delhi on arrival meet to our staff, transfer to hotel, rest of the time visit Old Delhi Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chadani Chowk and Gandhi Memorial. Overnight at hotel

Delhi Departure

After breakfast half day New Delhi sightseeing, visit Qutab Minar, Humayun’s tomb, Lotus temple and Government buildings. After dinner transfer to International airport flight to home.
