Chang-Thang Valley

One third of the trek is less frequent with its vast valleys. By this trek you will explore the Chang-Thang, "literally means the high altitude plateau," Home of the Nomadic (Changpai) To which can be reach by passing several passes. A small village of nomadic Tukche is the headquarter with its huge salt water lake of Tsokar. "The Tibetan wild ass" and occasionally seen snow leopard are found here. Rare and exotic birds are also found on the lake. Now the trail leads toward Rupshu valley by traversing the Manali-Leh high way, one can meet some nomad living mostly in gold tinny hamlet well in tents, Further you will join to the most famous trekking route of Ladakh "Markha valley. The trek ends at Shang, you will be transferred to Leh by visiting the famous monasteries of Hemis, Thiksey, Shey, dropping at your hotel, end of service.

Arrival Delhi

Upon arrival at Internation airport, meet and greet by our representative, drive to hotel for rest of the night. You hotel must be near by the airport.

Delhi-Leh (3520m)

Very early morning take flight to Leh, upon arrival meet to our staff, drive to hotel, rest of the time leisure for acclimatization. Overnight at hotel.

Leh-Rumtse (4040 mtrs). 75 kms

Leave early, On the way visit Shey-Thiksey-Hemis monasteries, further drive to the campsite. Overnight at camp.

Rumtse-Kyamar, 40 hours 50 m

The first day of trekking, easy trail leads to a beautiful campsite close to the spring, overnight at camp.

Kyamar-Tisaling (4200 m), over Kumarla and Mandachandla 6-7 hours Trek

As it is a long day so the early start is advised, Trail goes up following the river, gradual ascent to the 4900m Kumura, enjoy the spectacular view on the Chang Thang-range, steady Than descends to river bank, river and wade through again ascent to the next pass Mandachandla, Now easy descends toward the campsite on pasture land of Tisaling.

Tisaling-Tsokar (4267 mtrs) Shibuk over Shibukla (4980 mtrs) 6-7 hrs. Trek

2 hours trek till the pass, again spectacular view of the surrounding Himalayas, descends to Shibuk, where Marmot can be seen playing hide and seek. Now Easy Flat track on the broad valley to the nomadic headquarter at Tukche, on arrival in Tukche, Establish the camp, later visit the village and small gompa perched high on the top of the village, Stroll on the shore of lake to watch the birds and lake frequently changing its color while setting sun.

Tsokar-Spangchen (4580 m.) 5.30 hrs Trek

One and half hours till trail dusty main road of Manali-Leh high way. half an hour on the main road, Take diversion for 2 hours to the valley of Kharanak Rupshu, campsite near the spring.

Spangchen-Lungmotche (4550 m) 5 hrs Trek

Easy trail till Kharanak village of nomadic, after a while to diversions Lungmotche toward the Yarla, camp at the foot of Yarla.

Lungmotse -Datt (4200 m) over Yarla (4950m) 8 hrs Trek

It is the longest day of the trek. While crossing the pass, one can see the Kyang (the wild donkeys). In Datt you will visit the old monastery and the village itself is very beautiful to visit, overnight camp.

Datt -Sora (4600 m) 5 hrs Trek

Walking through the beautiful gorge, willow trees can be seen along the trail, crossing the crystal clear water streams. Fishing is strictly forbidden by the Buddhist low, on the right side of the trail, one can see the ruins of an old castle of the king of the valley. Camp site of Sora is surrounded by the mountains and barley fields.

Sora-Langthangchhu (4500 meters) 5 hrs over Zalung Karpol (5197 m)8 hrs Trek

Little hard until the pass, but all around amazing view of the several mountain ranges, down through the dusty and rocky path to the camp site.

Langthang Chhu-Nimaling (west foot of Kongyatse) (4900 m) 6 hrs Trek

Gradual ascent in beginning and than steep climb to the pass for 4 hours, than easy trail to the plateau of the base of the west Kongyatse (6200). You can see the herd of yaks, sheep and goats grazing in the shelf here and there.

Nimaling-Shang Sumdo (3980 m) 8hrs Over Kongmarula (5150 m)7 hrsTrek

Two hours gradual climbing to the pass, while descending, the trail goes through the many villages and the colorful rocky gorge. In Shang, visit the monastery. night in camp.

Sang Sundo-Leh-Shang (3500 m) 60 km/ 3 hrs drive

Drive to Leh, On the way visit the following via the monastery. Hemis is situated 48 kms from the Leh on the opposite side of the aped Tsangpo river (Indus). It is the largest and most famous monastery in the Ladakh It has been founded about 350 years ago by Stagsang Reschen who was invited in Ladakh by the King aped Namgyal. Another monasteries of Thiksey / Shey will be visited. On arrival check in hotel for overnight.

Leh

Full day leisure for individual activities, for shopping and visit Shanti Stupa. Overnight at hotel.

Leh-Delhi

Early morning transfer to airport take flight to Delhi, Upon arrival meet to our staff, drive to city, rest of the time visit Old Delhi as Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chadani Chowk and Gandhi memorial. Overnight at hotel

Delhi Dep.

Morning leisure for shopping etc. afternoon commence half day New Delhi sightseeing, later in time dep. transfer to onward destination.
